Lesson 12

Hello lovely Pre-KA!

I hope you are having a good time.
Our lesson for today includes two steps:

1.          Step 1: Do “The Hokey Pokey” dance
2.          Step 2: Play the “Snakey Snakey” game

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson Objectives:

This is a great outdoor or indoor activity to develop your jumping, hopping and leaping skills!

B.      Materials Needed:

           Rope

C.      Game Rules:

The goal of this game is to try and jump over the 'snake' without getting caught!
Stretch out the boat rope with one leader holding either end. Together the leaders move the rope back and forth to resemble a snake. Children try and jump over the quickly moving snake without getting caught!

D.      Safety Considerations:

Wear your shoes before starting the activity.

E.    Progression (optional):

Try to raise the rope higher in the air and have the children jump up to try to give Mr. Snakey a high five. Try to raise the rope at waist level and have the children limbo or crawl to get under Mr. Snakey.

F.       Instructions:

Lesson 11

Hello Pre K-A!

Our lesson includes two steps:

Step 1: Enjoy the Finger Fitness Exercise Dances
Step 2:  Running challenge

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson objectives:

        To improve your manipulative movement and locomotor skills.
        To follow a set of simple and effective physical activities to get active.

B.      Equipment:  5 toys or any other objects.

How to play:

Are you ready for the “Running Challenge”?
Get 5 objects and put them at one side of the room/garden. Take them 1 at a time, running as fast as you can to the other side. See how quick you can do it! Try to beat your own score the next time.

C.      Instructions:

Let’s start with the Finger Fitness Exercise Dances

Do it slowly and step by step

Did you enjoy it?  Try to make the challenge harder by increasing the quantity of the toys/objects.

 Lesson 10

Hello Boys and Girls!

Let’s start our new week with a fun activity that you can do at home.

Our lesson is divided into two steps:

Step 1: Stretching exercises with me and my son
Step 2: Play the “4 spot exercise” game

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson objectives:

Stretching exercises improve flexibility, which increases the ability of our joints to move through their full range of motion.
Better flexibility may also improve your performance in physical activities. Decreasing the risk of injuries.

B.      Materials needed:

For the “4 spot exercise” game:
Four paper plates/ paper sheets marked with numbers from 1 to 4.

C.      Game rules:

“4 spot exercise” game:
1-         Place the paper plates/papers on the floor making a square with 4 numbers (from 1 to 4)
2-         Each number indicates a specific exercise as follows:

 1. Jumping Jacks
 2. Ski Jumps (or jump side to side)
 3. Quick Feet
 4. Silly but safe dance movements
     Tree Pose in the middle of the square

3-    Watch the video of the “4 spot exercise” and follow the instructions.
*Please check that your playing area is safe for the movements.

Our lesson plan for today starts with two steps:

Step 1: Breathing and Stretching exercises
Step 2: Playing the “Minefield” game

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson Objectives:

Physical education is essential to the development of motor skills and the enhancement of reflexes.

B.      Materials Needed:

           “Minefield” game workout (as per the picture below)
           Use towel /bandana / or eye mask
           Find any obstacles in the house like pillows, water bottles, cups, toys, etc.
           You will need one of your family members to play with

Lesson 8

Hello Pre-KA!

Are you ready to energize through our PE activities today? Yeah, I know you are always ready ;)
At the beginning of this lesson, we are going to do a Fun Animal Song for Kids, and after that, we will play a lovely game that we learned together at school, called the “The Floor is Lava”.

Please follow the lesson plan as below:

A.      Lesson objectives:

        To improve coordination, flexibility, muscle tone and strength.
        To improve your manipulative movements and locomotor skills.
        To follow a set of simple and effective physical activities to get active.

Equipment:  Pillows, stuffed animals, cushions, towels, etc.

How to play:

Lava has taken over the floor of your house. Start on one side of the room or on a piece of furniture. Use objects around your house to move across the room to another piece of furniture without falling into the lava. If you fall in, start over and try again. Objects to use pillows, stuffed animals, cushions, towels, etc.
Level 2: Try to touch each wall of the room
Level 3: Try to travel into and out of different rooms of your house
Level 4: Time yourself or siblings to see who can get across the fastest
Level 5: Try to cross using the fewest amount of objects

B.      Instructions:

Hello wonderful Pre-KA!

It’s a new week with lots of new activities for you!
Let’s start our lesson with a warm-up song. We did this warm up in the gym before. Listen to the music and follow the instructions.

Then, we are going to play the “Table Hockey” game.

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:
1. Consistently perform basic hockey skills, such as dribbling and push pass.
2. To implement the basic rules of hockey.

B.      Materials Needed:
        Table
        Plastic cups or paper cups (2 pieces)
        Small plastic plate or jar tops (pickle jar, cheese jar etc.)
        For younger children, you may play table hockey on the floor or use a short table

Hello lovely PRE-KA!

I hope everyone is doing great!
Let’s start our lesson with a warm-up - Hello song that each of you can do.
Then, we are going to play the “Make it, Move it” game.

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson objectives:

        To improve your non-locomotor movement and manipulative abilities
        A fun exercise song where kids stretch their bodies before they start to play
        Be physically active at home and play the “Make it, Move it” game

B.      Instructions:

        Directions: you can play this game by yourself or with someone
        Find 2 objects to throw: a rolled-up pair of socks, or small stuffed animals are good replacements if you don’t have a ball
        Find 2 containers to throw into: pots, large bowls, or small baskets
        Place the container at a starting point, make an underhand toss toward the container. If you make it, move it farther away and return to the throwing spot and toss again. Try to get your container moved to the other side of the room first or with the fewest tosses.

Lesson 5

Hello Pre-KA!

How are you feeling today? 
We are going to do a Kung Fu warm-up (Beginner Warm Up and Stance Practice)
and a fun game called Toss and catch scarves.

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson objectives:

        Kung Fu training has excellent benefits. Children can develop strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. They can also improve their ability to concentrate, maintain focus and follow instructions.
        Tossing and catching scarves is a fun and safe way for you to practice the gross motor skills of throwing and catching.
       ●        The objective is eye-hand coordination, and correct timing for catching the scarves.

B.      Instructions:

For the game: You will need scarves. If you don’t have scarves, you can use any other material like a piece of textile or tissues.

Awesome guys!  We have reached our 4th lesson.  First, we are going to do a fun action dance song called “Simon Says”. Second, we are going to play the “Couch Island” game.

A.      Lesson objectives:
·         A fun dance song for you to learn the parts of the body. e.g.: nose, lips, neck, feet and hands.
·         Students will work on balancing in this activity
·         Stay active at home and play the “Couch island” game.

    Lesson 3

Hello Everyone!

Here we go, we have reached our 3rd PE lesson. Way to go!
We used to have fun in our PE class, and I know how you like to play with balloons. All you need is one balloon to play with.
If you don't have a balloon at home, you can use a safe ball or a clean pair of rolled up socks.

Please follow the lesson plan below:

A.      Lesson objectives:

        Hand-eye coordination is the ability to use our muscles and our vision in tandem. It requires the development of visual skills, like visual acuity, and muscle skills.
        Motor coordination is the ability to use multiple body parts for a particular action. Many skills you use for school and for fun require bilateral coordination.

B.      Instructions:
